Job Summary Safely and effectively maintain and repair all types of electrical/instrumentation circuitry and equipment, so as to maintain optimum production capabilities on a 24 hour-a-day basis, seven day a week basis. Job Responsibilities Assist in analyzing, identifying, and correcting electrical equipment and instrumentation. Install new and updated equipment, to include but not necessarily limited to, conduit and wiring electrical, electronic, and instrumentation devices. Assist e in analyzing, identifying, and correcting any condition-based maintenance issues which include, but are not limited to, vibration control, thermographic corrections, motor condition control, etc. Translate safety policies, goals and standards from paper into action. Complete all required inspections, audits, work orders, and reports. Communicate and document hazards and substandard conditions and/or acts. Immediately correct substandard conditions and acts to the best of your ability. Report all near misses to your team leader and assist as requested in near miss and incident investigations. Perform preventative maintenance and/or diagnostic inspections as required to effectively analyze, isolate and repair all electrical, instrumentation, or electro-mechanical problems and failures. Serve as a resource for other departments to advise them of electrical/instrumentation capabilities or limitations Train other electrical employees and advise them of electrical/instrumentation capabilities or limitations Specify, design, and/or install electrical/instrumentation circuits and equipment necessary to enhance overall system productivity. Read and analyze electrical/electronic schematics to the extent necessary to quickly and accurately isolate electrical failures in wiring and devices. Qualifications State or federal electrical license 5 years of industrial electrical experience Or equivalent combination of experience and education Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be capable and willing to respond to emergency problems on a 24 hour a day basis as needed. Must have a clear understanding of the National Electrical Code and be able to apply its principles to install and maintain a safe and effective electrical system. Must be capable of all types of industrial electrical construction, to include layout, installation, and start up. Must have the ability to read and understand electrical/instrumentation manuals, drawings, and blueprints Must maintain open communications with fellow employees and other departments to insure a safe and timely job completion. Working Conditions Extreme temperatures Able to work at heights greater than two stories Frequent standing, sitting, squatting, and walking.
