OVERVIEW The Technical Services Associate is primarily responsible for assisting in developing new custom products by creating new quotes and documentation for a wide variety of bacterial and yeast growth media, buffers, and reagents for protein and DNA purification, as well as working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create and update manufacturing documents such as formulation sheets, labels, quality certificates, etc. Assists with the creation of new item cards in ERP system Communicates with customers regarding custom formulations or production issues Support planning, production, and quality teams when necessary Ensures bill of materials, manufacturing documents, and website product descriptions match the formulations Use the necessary software systems and databases to process documents or quality issues. Implements and executes product change orders requested for manufacturing documents Perform product work ups in the formulation lab to support document creation. RequirementsEDUCATION Associates Degree or higher in chemistry, biochemistry, or the biological or physical sciences, may be supplemented by 2-4 years experience in a related field KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Excellent written and verbal communicationMust be have working knowledge of computers, and MS Office applications including MS Word and MS ExcelAbility to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem prevention, and problem solving skills.Ability to work accurately with close attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationMust have flexible availability to work as scheduled or requested, including overtime EEOC Employer
