Amgen is now seeking and experienced CMC Integration Project Manager for our Thousand Oaks, CA location.

This Project Manager, CMC Integration will work with the Global Operations Team and technical leaders in Process Development to build project timelines for Amgen pipeline products that are coordinated across all functions and aligned with prioritization and product development strategy. The PM will partner with PD functional leads to build key activities and deliverables into the timeline, identify and handle risks, and ensure cross functional alignment and accountability from project initiation through completion. Responsible for running the CMC product development timeline with a focus on effective planning, coordination of activities, and communication as well as assist PD in driving decision making using DAI principles. Ensure participation in functional and cross-functional management reviews. Establish and lead partnership and team sites (e.g. Sharepoint). Partner with Business Analysis and Performance to report product metrics Facilitate and incorporate lessons learned, standard methodologies, etc Support Business Process improvements, including alignment with CMCX
Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree
Or

Master's degree & 2 years of Job Code's Discipline and/or Sub-Discipline experience
Or

Bachelor's degree & 4 years of Job Code's Discipline and/or Sub-Discipline experience
Or

Associate's degree & 10 years of Job Code's Discipline and/or Sub-Discipline experience
Or

High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Job Code's Discipline and/or Sub-Discipline experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of established ability in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other Healthcare-related field, direct CMC experience is helpful Master's degree with 2+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, constantly evolving technology environment, and to manage product activities ranging from Drug Substance, Drug Product, Attribute Sciences, and Drug Delivery (device) development simultaneously.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills particularly motivational, negotiation, listening, judgment, analytic, and conflict leadership skills, proven by ability to efficiently interface across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of risk management, project reporting, and project management tools.
  • Established leadership, team building skills and strategic problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to run and lead others through change.
  • Ability at leading matrix teams, influencing outcomes and key project decisions.
  • Experienced with MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint PMP certification or similar experience. Requires up to 15% travel.

Travel includes meetings at internal globally located offices as well as contractor sites.
