You will develop, design, and test standards and guidelines for developing packaging solutions for The Flex Company's range of products. You will also work with internal resources and packaging suppliers to achieve functional packaging goals.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, and performance testing.Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.Work closely with Marketing, Brand, and Creative teams to conceptualize and source materials. Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging.Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging supply base for cost, lead time, quality, regionalization, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.Work with the Supply Chain to insure that the packaging designs are optimized for manufacturability.Define, implement, and own packaging engineering standards.Support quality systems with Regulatory.About you:Excellent communication skills, to be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization and our suppliers.Good organizational skills to manage the documentation, materials, and information with the ability to prioritize workload.Detailed oriented with excellent follow-through abilities.Requirements:5+ years of Packaging experience Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyUnderstand plant and contract manufacturing capabilitiesIn 1 month you will:Establish relationship w/ vendors and contract manufacturers and supply chain.Usher through Document Control new controlled artwork.In 3 months you will:Identify new packaging opportunities.Develop sustainable packaging designs.Source new packaging for NPI.In 6 months you will:Improve existing packaging.Execute company wide sustainability plan.Our shared values:Choose Love Over Fear: You make sound decisions from a belief in yourself, others, or opportunities rather than out of fear.Optimize For Trust: You have a track record of taking accountability for mistakes rather than blaming others.
