Incredible teams doing exceptional work, every day.In Accounting, we're responsible for recording and reconciling financial transactions, processing vendor payments, processing payroll, calculating and remitting taxes. We also produce external and internal financial reports and interpret accounting guidance. Discover the independence to grow and drive change Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant will perform a variety of routine duties in the Accounting Department which includes, but are not limited to maintaining the Bank's records of leases, lease abstraction and entry into lease management software, accurate and timely payment of rent and operating expenses, accurate accounting of leases under ASC 842, reconciliation/analysis and certification of various general ledger accounts. The individual must be extremely adaptable, and an independent contributor. The role requires exceptional level of detail, communication skills and an ability to work with various business units within the bank.What you'll do as a Senior Accountant:Monthly review and reconciliation of landlord statementsPreparation and review of monthly accruals related to CAM, OPEX, insurance and taxesData abstraction related to new leases, modifications/amendments and lease options Data entry of new leases, modifications/amendments and lease options into leasing softwareAnalyzing vendors to identify any non-real estate leasesTracking key lease dates including lease renewals and rent increasesAssist in user acceptance testingPrepare journal entries from internal and external sources with proper documentationReconcile and certify various General Ledger accounts within daily, monthly and quarterly deadlinesPrepare monthly lease forecasts for senior managementAssist in the preparation, filing, and accounting for annual property tax returnsPrepare quarterly and annual PBC'sAssist the team with fixed assets accounting cycleAnalyze data for daily reconciliations, complete ad hoc reports with analytical components, and prepare monthly & quarterly trend/variance analysis and write-ups for senior managementSupport the accounting team in meeting month/quarter-end closing deadlinesSupport the team during periodic desk rotation and vacation coverageAssist management on fulfilling audit requests and responding to any related inquiries from internal and external auditorsOrganize and maintain updated accounting procedures respective to assigned tasksProtect organization's value by keeping information confidentialAssist in various projects as neededPerforms other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisorOrganize and Maintain Fixed Asset records and filing system including electronic record retention for all assigned tasksSoftware capitalization rationale and analysisIdentify/retire disposed assetsYou could be a great fit if you have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline2+ years of experience in Real Estate accounting including understanding of leases, CAM and ASC 842 and/or ASC 840, tenant-side accounting a plus 2+ years of Big 4 experience a plusUnderstanding of GAAPAble to handle high volume of review and data entryProficient in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup's, Pivot tables, index match)Excellent organizational and time management skillsTeam player, ability to interact with many different business unitsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOracle EBS experience with Oracle Property Manager or equivalent lease management software a plusExperience using a procurement system a plusDemonstrate great attention to detailExcellent analytical skills Ability to be proactive, execute tasks, handle multiple priorities and respond quickly to meet deadlinesProvides extraordinary serviceFurthers the First Republic Bank culture and valuesJob Demands: Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.Must be able to work remotely.Own your work and your career - apply nowAre you willing to take initiative and make decisions?
