About the CompanyGrowing Southern California interior/exterior sign manufacturer is looking for Outside Sales Representationin the North Los Angeles and Coastal (South Bay) areas with a minimum of two years outside B2B sales experience. We are looking to increase sales in two geographicmarkets. This is a relationship based business, proven ability to develop long term relationships is paramount. This position requires a consultative sales professional who's capable of keeping up in a diverse, fast paced work environment.Sign Specialists Corporation is a growing sign company with expertise in custom interior and exterior signage systems. We are unique in that we manufacture more than 90% of all products that we sell from base materials. The company has approximately 50 employees. If a variety filled work day that relies as much on creativity as it does logical, business minded sensibilities, you may not need to look any further.Duties:Provide sales representation to continuing customers, some whose relationships with our company span more than 15 years.Identify new opportunities by performing cold calls or scheduling sales visits to, resurrecting dormant customers and following up on potential leads. This position comes with a list of past, dormant accounts to suppliment your cold calling efforts.Impeccable follow up on both won and lost projects.Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and convert those into potential customersMust have strong organizational skills and be willing to follow through with the accounts receivable department to ensure all invoices are paid on time.Generate weekly reports and project updates.Log daily sales call reports into the company database.Update client information in the company database.Skills and Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have a successful background selling to a variety of different customer types. Business to Business, property management companies, direct end users, construction companies, hospitals and other vertical markets.Consultant type sales mentality. Clearly understands his/her customer's needs.Tenacious, self-motivated and self-disciplined hard charger that is not afraid to hit the streets and knock on doors.Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and stay organized is a must.Engages customers and prospects by working assigned accounts and igniting new sales opportunities.Focused on follow through, sees opportunities and tasks from start to completion.Thoroughness, digs for details, acquires information, able to document and effectively communicate (report) information to team members.There is a steep industry and software (internal systems and processes) learning curve, candidate must have an aptitude and willingness to learn, being trainable, coachable and teachable is paramount.Experience in the signage industry is beneficial however, the ideal candidate has an aptitude for learning, is coachable and trainable.Ability to read and understand construction blueprints a plus.Compensation & Benefits:Generous commission program.
